Dear Parents,
The first 4 chapters of your child’s book are the ones we have focused on thus far this year in Faith Formation. The chapters include: The Bible, The Holy Trinity, Gods’ Creation, and God Creates Man and Woman.
For our next lesson, we will have a game to review the vocabulary and content of these first 4 chapters in a “Jeopardy “ type fashion. Help your child review the content and vocabulary that is in dark letters or listed at the end of the chapters. These chapters are simple and a quick review of them and the activities in the workbook, that they completed, will help prepare.
Thank you for helping them learn more about their faith.
Blessings. Beth and Amy
OCTOBER'S at home LESSON
Dear parents, We welcome you and your second grader to this year's Faith Formation. We are
so pleased that we will be able to meet more often this year and encourage you to bring your child as often as possible, as lessons will build upon one another.
Since not all students have yet received their books, for this month's home lesson, we will build upon this coming week's Gospel about thankfulness.
Gratitude, thankfulness, gratefulness. Talk about these words and what they mean. Strengthen your GRATITUDE muscles!! No skill is learned without practice. Cut long slips of paper about 1”x 6”. Every day this week, write down something you are thankful for, that you maybe haven’t thought of lately or haven’t appreciated. Then save the paper in an envelope or paper bag or little container and put it on your table. In the evening when you say prayers at the dinner table, take out one or more papers and pray in thankfulness to God. Practicing thankfulness and gratitude everyday will make is a habit
