As he sat at the table with his disciples, took bread, blessed it and broke it. He gave it to his disciples, saying “Take this, all of you, and eat of it, for this is my body, which will be given up for you.” Eucharist is the source and summit of our Christian life, and the act of thanksgiving, a sacrifice offered, a meal shared, a communion with one another and with Christ.
Will be offered Sunday afternoons 1pm-2:30pm in St. Mary's Dougherty Hall on March 16, March 23, and March 30. The March 30 session will begin with a practice run through in St. Mary's Church during which a priest will be present to answer any questions.
A parent or other adult must attend the sessions with the child(ren).
Attendance is mandatory for all of the sessions in order to celebrate the Sacrament this year.
**The celebration of the Sacrament of First Eucharist is celebrated after First Penance and can be scheduled once all First Eucharist Prep sessions have been attended and all at-home assignments (if any) have been completed.**
